Electric Vehicles
Matson has announced that electric vehicles (EV’s) are no longer permitted for shipment from port Oakland, or any Hawaii port. EV’s are only permitted for shipment to/from port Long Beach, CA. Pasha only offers EV shipping to/from port San Diego, CA. and all Hawaii ports including Hilo, Kahului, Honolulu, and Nawiliwili. Kona Container Guy offers service for EV’s via Matson or Pasha, as well as overland trucking transportation to/from the port facilities of Hilo, Long Beach, and San Diego.
Port Oakland
Matson has announced new personally owned vehicle (POV) auto shipping restrictions for vehicles shipping to/from port Oakland, CA. Your vehicle must not exceed 21’8″L x 6’4″W x 6’4″H to ship to or from this port. Pasha offers vehicle shipping to/from port Oakland for vehicles which do not exceed 21’8″L x 8’W x 7’H.
Port Long Beach
Vehicles shipping to/from port Long Beach, CA. which exceed 21’8″L x 7’W x 6’3″H but don’t exceed 21’8″L x 8’W x 7’H, are considered “Oversized”. While there is no additional charge for vehicles which fall within these dimensions, oversized vehicles sail once monthly on a dedicated vessel to/from port Long Beach.
Corvettes and Camaros
A Corvette or Camaro shipment is no longer permitted for eastbound shipment via Matson, or shipment from port Oakland. These vehicles must ship exclusively from port Long Beach when booked with Matson. However, Pasha offers unrestricted shipping for these vehicles from all ports.
Shipping Availability
Matson has announced a new sailing schedule for POV’s which drastically reduce shipping availability. Vehicles shipped from the outer islands of Hawaii including the Big Island, Maui, and Kauai, as well as those shipped from the west coast ports, only sail once monthly. This means sailings are backing up far in advance. Due to these recent changes, more and more people are booking their vehicles with Pasha, which has begun overloading and backing up their vessel sailings.

Booking in advance ensures more flexibility to meet your target timeline, secures your rate, and allows you to ship with peace of mind.
