IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OCTOBER 13TH- KAILUA-KONA

The IRONMAN world championship is right around the corner!

Every fall over 2,000 athletes gather on the Big Island to compete in the 140.6 mile race, which consists of a 2.4 mile swim in Kailua Bay, a 112 mile bike to Hawi and back, and finally a 26 mile run along the coast from Keauhou to Kailua-Kona, finishing on Ali’i Drive. The event brings together visitors and residents alike to support the athletes who demonstrate IRONMAN’s mantra- Anything is possible.

The Kona Container/Car Guy is proud to support ZWIFT, Inc. in their shipping needs this year. Zwift shipped athlete training equipment equipped with virtual reality training systems, and a vehicle to the island for the event. Below, Zwift employee Ian details his experience shipping goods to Kona for the event:

“Zwift is a software company whose mission is getting more people more active more often. Our presence at the 2018 Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii was extremely important for us. Kona Container Guy guided us through every step of  the process in shipping our branded van and our equipment to the Big Island for the big event. They made excellent suggestions and dealt with our constant requests to make changes with great aplomb. We’ve all slept soundly knowing that Kona Container Guy was taking care of the logistics of our shipment.”
